About JamesI started playing golf in October, 2006 (I was almost six years old). During my first lesson I accidentally knocked over and broke my instructor’s video camera and unfortunately we lost the video of my first swing, but he said that I already have a great swing and that if I worked hard, I can enjoy golf for a very long time. Since that first lesson I fell in love with the game of golf and it is now my biggest passion.
I am a Japanese-American, my mother is from Japan and my father is second-generation born Japanese. Other than my Uncle’s family and my father’s parents, all my relatives live in Japan and therefore I hope to play in a tournament in Japan someday so that my other relatives can see me play golf. 12 is my lucky number. I was born on 12/12/2000 at 5:34am. If you add up 5+3+4 this equals to 12. In the Japanese Calendar, I was born in the 12th year of the reign of the current emperor (Heisei 12). When I qualified for the 2015 USGA Junior Amateur Championships, I used golf balls with the number 12 on it. I love listening to music, playing the saxophone and I like to play basketball. My interests are in watching Boston University Hockey, traveling and enjoying a great steak. I love playing golf at Northwestern University. Achievements / Activities / Community Service
